Ministries

Cantors

Join together in song, under the talented direction of our choir director. Sing at 5:30pm Saturday Mass, 8:30am and 10:30am Sunday Mass, as your schedule allows.

Finance Council

Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets.

Offertory Counters

A group that counts the funds collected at Mass each week.

Parish Pastoral Council

The PPC is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of St. Peter Parish.

Usher

Volunteers who assist people to their seat if necessary. They also take up the collection.

Altar Server / Acolyte

This ministry is open to boys and girls from 4th grade and up, as well as adult men and women. Training is provided. Altar servers serve as scheduled at all weekend and daily Masses, weddings, and funerals.

Stations of the Cross

Held Friday evening at 6:00PM during Lent.

Religious Education

We have an opportunity to teach about the Roman Catholic Church to the children of the parish. Instructors assist in the religious formation of children using many methods to connect the children to Mass. Preschool through 10th Grade

Office Helpers 

There are a variety of areas open for helping, including answering the phone, providing communication to parishioners, and performing numerous basic office tasks.

Eucharistic Minister

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound.

Baptism Preparation

Preparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith.

RCIA

Rite of Christian Initiation – preparation of adult candidates for Catholic sacraments.

Flowers and Grounds

Volunteers who care for and beautify the grounds and church.

Greeters

Parish volunteers who warmly welcome parishioners as they enter the Church for Mass.

Lector

Reader who proclaim the Scriptures at Mass and other services.

Liturgical Linen Service

Responsible for the preparation and care of the altar linens. This includes the washing and ironing of purificators, corporals, and altar linens.

Sacristan

Duties include preparing the altar for Mass and cleaning the altar following Mass.

Stewardship Commission 

The commission meets weekly to plan a variety of events, including all-parish retreats and various community-building events. We also work on the Time, Talent and Treasure Take-a-Step Stewardship drive in the fall.

Steering Committee 

Assist with planning various fundraising, annual church community events and celebrations.
